The last couple days has lead to a solid breakthrough in the full swing. I've been working on my swing plane and rotation. While I've only been able to hit wedges and short irons due to my wrist tendonitis, I've seen great progress and getting much better control of my accuracy and trajectories. I've posted a couple videos showing some of the best wedge results (holing one from 100 yards, and hitting a second to 3 inches short). The feel I'm focusing on is getting my trail shoulder (right shoulder) to move under my chin and towards the ball during impact.
I've been working hard on the fitness routine too. Spent a lot of time working on some of the band routines and stretching yesterday. Today I've went through my full lifting routine. I can definitely feel/see a difference in my strength and endurance. I know I've got a long way to go but its nice to see some progress being made. There are some pieces of equipment I'm still looking to add to the gym I'm putting together in the store. I need to get some cardio in too, but man I hate cardio work (it's so boring). I've been doing come jump rope in the store, but I need other ideas that will keep me engaged.
Tomorrow is Sunday so I plan on taking the day off and spend some time with my family. I'm also going to try to catch the singles matches of the Solheim Cup, GO USA! Hopefully Lexi (everyone knows she's my favorite LPGA player) will finally get a full point and help USA bring the cup home for a third straight matches. So until Monday, KEEP IT IN THE SHORT GRASS!
